Welcome to my blog. Besides my normal everyday life, I quilt, work in a quilt shop, and love to read quilt blogs. I embroider, do counted cross stitching, tat, crochet, knit and want to learn anything that requires the use of needles and thread. Come back often to see what new project I am working on or to read a tip or two.

Give Away

OK. I shopped. I am so excited about this prize. Are you ready? Ta-Da. . .

The book will give you a laugh when you see how your grandma did her sewing. I am sending a kit and pattern so you can make your own Little Wallet and I'm sure you can come up with a fun project for the charm pack.

All you have to do is leave me a comment and tell me one fun thing you will remember about this summer. Tell your friends about this give away because "the more, the merrier". I will pick a winner on August 30. Good luck to all my sweet followers. Quilters are the nicest people.

One more fun thing. If you click on the postage stamp quilt button on the right and decide you would like to start one of your own, let me know and I will send you some 2" charms to help you get started.

Stay happy and keep quilting.

  2. I will remember teaching my 3 grandsons to hand sew by making 9 patch blocks as a start on their first quilts. Besides taking them to Legoland and Disneyland.

  3. Hi, Mamabill! So nice of you to comment on my blog (thanks so much!)- but since you are a no-reply blogger, I had to find another way to say hi, and here you are having a giveaway, how fun!

By the way, I wanted to tell you I visited your fun shop! ADORABLE!!

This is my first summer singing with the Tab Choir, and every week is memorable and momentous! I won't soon forget last week's concert with the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley, singing in the rain. The choir and orchestra were under a canopy, and we were singing a verse of He's Got the Whole World in His Hands: "He's got the wind and the rain in His hands..." when it began to pour down rain. We laugh-sang through that verse, as the audience donned raincoats and umbrellas - but they stayed through to the end!

  4. I would love to have a new little wallet and the book would probably be really good for me. I am so scared of zippers!! Does it talk about zippers?

Oh the summer...well we've not done much this summer...most of our fun is the rest of the year. But I will remember each new discovery of Stephen's. He is such a sweet boy and I am so glad that I blog about his adventures for him to remember someday!

  5. I have two quilt tops that I still plan on setting up outside and tying. I've been waiting for the perfect day. I think my perfect days are numbered so for sure one goes up next week. Should only take a couple hour on a sunny afternoon

  11. The best part about this summer has got to be when my boys went fishing and my youngest caught his first fish {unfortunately it got away}. He was such a proud little chap!
